I am glad that you visited Trinity Lutheran Church’s website. I am Youngshim Pitcher. I am the Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church. I came to serve, live, and love the people of Trinity in October of 2017. It is God’s amazing blessing to serve as Pastor and to be a part of this wonderful community.

Music Director: Susan Shoemaker

​

Susan Shoemaker has been the Music Director at Trinity Lutheran Church for over seventeen years. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Knox College and a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University. She taught choral music in public schools for many years, studied voice extensively, was the soprano soloist at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Forest, IL for eleven years and performed in the northern suburbs of Chicago in both opera and oratorio. Mrs. Shoemaker also is the Music Director of the McDonough Choral Society.

Organist: Po-Chaun Chiang

​

A native of Taiwan, Po-Chuan Chiang, has appeared as a soloist, collaborative pianist, chamber musician and educator. As a collaborative pianist, Mr. Chiang has worked with many performers, both instrumental and vocal, in multiple styles and genres, including serving as the pianist for both the University of Illinois Wind Orchestra and Wind Symphony. During the first two years of study at University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Mr. Chiang was granted a prestigious accompanying assistantship with the vocal, brass, and string divisions; the following year, he was offered a highly-coveted opera accompanying assistantship, supporting singers in main stage operatic productions at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Mr. Chiang also has extensive experience in the realm of musical theater. He has worked with Champaign-Urbana Theatre Company, Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville Champaign Central High School and Parkland College Theater as rehearsal pianist and performance keyboard/synthesizer. Mr. Chiang currently works as a staff pianist coordinator at Western Illinois University.
