Online Giving - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does Online Giving work?

A: By clicking on the button above, you will be transferred to a secure web page where you will be able to enter payment information. The transaction is handled by Vanco Payment Solutions, and your contribution will be transferred directly to Trinity's bank account.

Q: Is it safe to give online?

A: Yes. In many ways giving online is safer than writing a check or giving cash. An electronic gift cannot be lost or stolen. When you click on the button above, you will be transferred to a web page with the address "https://www.eservicepayments.com". You should see a padlock on the web address bar of your browser window. This indicates that you are on a secure web page, and it is safe to enter your financial information.

Q: What types of accounts can I give from?

A: Your contribution can be deducted from your checking or savings account, or can be charged to your credit or debit card.

Q: Are there any fees involved with giving online?

A: Donations from a checking or savings account will incur a .9% fee and a $.20 charge per transaction. Credit card donations will incur a $.38 charge per transaction and a fee of 2.65% for MasterCard, Discover, and Visa and the fee for American Express is 3.50%

Q: Do I have to create a user name and password to make a contribution?

A: No, you can fill out the form without setting up an account. However, if you plan to make more than one contribution, you will save time by setting up an account. Just click on the "Create Profile" button and all of your information will be saved.

Q: Can I make a one-time contribution?

A: Yes. You may make a one-time contribution or you may set up a recurring contribution.

Q: If I want to set up a recurring contribution, what are my options for frequency?

A: You may schedule contributions to be given weekly or monthly on the dates specified by you.

Q: Can I change my personal information, amount or the frequency of my contribution once I have set it up?

A: Yes. You can change or cancel your contribution at any time before the date of your next contribution. Log in to the system using your user name and password and make the necessary changes in the system. (Note: Per IRS regulations, once a gift has been made to the church it cannot be refunded.)

Q: Can I review my donation history online?

A: Yes, you will be able to view the history of your online contributions. (Please note that only online donations will be shown on this screen. Cash or check donations given to Trinity will not be shown on this online system.)

Q: Will I still receive regular contribution statements from the church?

A: Yes. You will continue to receive an annual statement at the end of the year showing all contributions.

Q: When will contributions be withdrawn from my account?

A: Checking and savings account contributions will be withdrawn from your bank account within 48 business hours of the date you requested. This time frame allows time for the contribution to process through your bank and Trinity’s bank. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day. Credit card and debit card contributions will be deducted on the date you specified when you set up your contribution.

Q: I have a question not listed here...

A: If you have additional questions, you may call the church office at (309) 833-2909, or send an email to tlc@macomb.com
