About Our Ministries
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION is provided at 9:00 AM on Sundays September through May for all ages, including an adult forum.
Other educational activities include a Men's Study Group which meets every Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the church and two Women's Study Groups, one meeting at 10:00 AM every Thursday and the other meeting also on Thursday at 7:00 PM.
The High School age young adults are invited to attend Leadership Lab in July, which is a week long event held here in Macomb at Western Illinois University.
MUSIC We have a wonderful choir. The Choir Director is Susan Shoemaker and the choir usually practices at 7:00 PM every Wednesday from September through May. Members also volunteer to sing the liturgy during worship if they wish to. We also have a chime choir under the direction of David Lueck. It practices after church and provides music during worship every couple of months.
CAMPUS MINISTRY Trinity is a partnered at Western Illinois University with the Wesley Foundation and the Disciples of Christ. Campus worship and fellowship time is on Wednesday at 5:30 pm and it is held at the Wesley Foundation on the WIU campus. A meal is served after the service.
YOUTH Presently, on the second Sunday of each month the youth group has an activity.
ADULT FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITIES Trinity offers three distinct opportunities for the adults of the congregation to gather.
--The "20 to 40 Somethings" group focuses on adults with young children. Sometimes the adults meet while the church provides child care, and other times the whole family joins in an event.
--A "Boomers" group for adults with teenage or older children meets for a variety of activities during the year.
--A "Social Seniors" group meets once monthly with educational trips, festive meals, and just plain fun.
